there is a depth

10 January 2010 § 1 Comment

there is a depth (of deepness)
whose voice is on the underside of silence,
in the silence of the imperceptible
faraway call of oceans.

and the ache may not be solved
with peanut butter
or new orange shoes
or love songs
(though they sometimes help)

  • Nicholas Barber says:

Never a modicum of poetic verisimilitude; it is a comportment of you and your silence…
I really did expect these fabulous new orange kicks to play a formative role in being the deus ex machina of the poem. God has good taste in sneakers.
